Steve,
The papers almost got the story correct for a change. There was a fly-in pancake breakfast being help by the local EAA chapter (first Saturday of every month) at Dunn Airport (uncontrolled) in Titusville, FL. A large group of aircraft (20 plus) were flying in from Spruce Creek Fly-In. A four ship of RV' had just landed and were taxing on the adjacent taxiway when a Velocity (not from Spruce Creek) was landing. The Velocity drop a wheel off the edge of the runway and attempted to apply power and lift back off but it was too late. The pilot lost control and the aircraft tumbled. It struck one of the RV-8' on the taxiway just behind the passenger, severed the tail, decapitated the passenger and killed the pilot. The Rv-8' engine continued to run and caught fire while the Velocity continued to tumble for over one hundred yards. The impact was .......VIOLENT! Both Bill and Phil in the RV were killed by impact and not the ensuing fire. The Velocity pilot (his identity has not been released) is still in critical condition and the passenger died of his injuries yesterday.

Anyone know anything about this? Looks like a LongEz/VariEZ/Velocity inverted in the photo.
