A while back , I had some MR 16 light fixtures made up for several in the
group. These were the ones machined from solid stock. I believe many used
female molex connectors to connect power to the bulb. Mine have burnt up and
no longer work.
I found some cool little round sockets from www.buylighting.com They just
came in the mail today.

They are item # B-32 and the description is:
socket rnd. back entry MR-16 ul e 183
They are 2.95 ea and they charged me 6.50 to ship.
I have not installed them yet but this is what should have been used in the
beginning...
They are very small and cheap...
Looks to me like they will work perfectly.
As a side note, I drilled some .5" holes in the fixture to allow for some
cooling as they can get hot especially if you use 75-100 w bulbs.
