Not true, I have been involved personally in several.
The original question was about a high net
worth individual, who presumably could accept the risk of a few tens of
thousands in potential costs as part of selling an airplane worth multiples of
that.
It cost much more than that to defend an aviation lawsuit and settlements
and judgments run into the millions and tens of millions.
