Has anyone ever experienced a TK-5 deflation??  I don't think so.  Why worry about something that is very, very unlikely to happen?

Bob,

Yes, I personally assisted a friend with two TK-5 shock strut deflations.  Tim was very responsive  and I believe the problem was rectified by using Nitrogen withstanding O rings in the shrader valve (apparently they were not nitrogen capable when shipped).

When I purchased my Spry debongers I felt the spring and hydraulic dampening to be far superior in light of my friends nitrogen failures.

Likelyhood of failure and “very, very unlikely”  worry ratioing held less relevance than “cheaper and painted to match my airplane” for free .

My respenctful 2 cents.
