Rick,
The IO-550-N (the ‘nominal Super ES
engine) does not have the separate prime circuit / solenoid, and the “prime”
button is just a momentary SPST to the high boost on the Dukes pump. I know at
least some of the TSIO engines have the primer circuit / solenoid, as this
cased a fair amount of confusion between myself and Pat Brunner (N98PB IVP). I
assume the prime button on your engines needs to also trigger the boost pump,
but I’d check with someone knowledgable before I wired anything. You
knowe about assuming.

Subject: [LML] TSIO-550 Primer
Question
I have a TSIO-550-E (for an ES ) which has
a primer solenoid (?) on the throttle body. Can anyone help with how this
is to be wired?
I have noticed several builders that have
put a primer button near the throttle (or key) which I thought was just a
momentary high boost (to the dukes pump). Is it also wired to the
solenoid on the engine (STDP momentary button)?
