I retightened all the connectors on the blocks, some were loose. I don't get a jumping reading, I get a very slow moving reading. I suspected the orifice would be plugged and I guess I'm going to have to get the sensor out to clean it. It's buried, but I've have to get it out.
The battery has never been changed, it's about 10 years out but I don't have any other problems with it info loss.

Randy:

Before you start taking things apart, check the leads on the terminal
blocks on the CPU.  A loose lead could cause the problem you are having.

BTW, is the internal battery fresh???
