The military, and most commercial aircraft monitor 121.5/243.0 on the 2nd radio when enroute. You just never know when you might save someones life when they go, or are going down. Our emergency frequency radios at the ARTCC don't reach very far, and are usually quite far away from the sector we are working. As for getting the ATIS on ACARS, yes I'll have that in my ES, isn't everyone putting it in? :-) Ron Galbraith N5ES >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> LML website: http://www.olsusa.com/Users/Mkaye/maillist.html Builders' Bookstore: http://www.buildersbooks.com/lancair Please send your photos and drawings to marvkaye@olsusa.com. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
