Rob, forget the dual voltages for the MAC servos. Having the servos respond
at the enormous response rate at slow speeds is maybe even as dangerous or
more dangerous as at cruise--it is possible to run the trim to the stops in a
few seconds--would you like to do this in landing configuration at 100 kts or
take off at 80 kts?
You just can't believe how fast they change attitude at 12 volts. Twelve
volts is a recipe for disaster at any speed, believe me. Been there and done
that.
