Bob,
if you're going to be in Long Beach, John Wayne will be inconvenient with traffic. I regularly fly in and out of LGB and tie down at Airflite. If you buy gas there, which is expensive, they wave the $20 tie down fee. There are one or two other FBO's on the airport if you want to check them out too. There is an occassional marine layer but recently the weather has been great.
It's also easy to get a rental car various companies in the main terminal.
Good luck

Subject: [LML] SoCal airports
I'll be going to a conference in Long Beach next week.
Can anyone here suggest which airport I want to use?
Nearby choices are Long Beach (LGB), Torrance (TOA), and
John Wayne (SNA). Is this area regularly fogged in this
time of year? Which airports are less hassle?
Good FBOs to recommend?
TIA,
-bob
