The SB is for the tubing, not the aluminum vent line in the wing.  The originally supplied tubing is fuelproof, but softens when exposed to fuel vapor for extended periods.  I understand one Lancair had soft tubing that collapsed, blocking the fuel vent.  The SB calls for replacing the yellow tubing with black tubing.  Lancair sent me the tubing upgrade for free, but I couldn't use it because it was for a 1/4" installation.  I gave it to the other ES guy on my airport.
