I was thinking of doing this with a full tank of gas to minimize the air in the tank. After Skip’s input I will consult with Tim Ong before I do it.

Eugene,

Why don't you plug one of the NACA fuel tank vents on purpose and do some taxi testing or just run the engine on the ground on the affected tank?  Maybe you can duplicate the P-trap/plugged vent theory.
