Today was the Red Bull air race in Monument Valley, Utah.  It was the most professional and spectacular production I have ever seen.  There were about 5,000 people watching some of the most amazing flying that could possibly exist.  This whole production arrives in dedicated 5 Boeing 747 aircraft.  Red Bull actually built the airport for the race.  Check out the picture gallery.

 

You should visit http://www.redbullairrace.com You will see an airplane blowing through an air bag pylon and the left wheel pant leaving the airplane.  I was sitting right off the nose of this airplane and it was an incredible recovery effort.
