We put in the adjustable rudder pedal option. Rather than installing the subfloor as per the manual, we put in a subfloor just wide enough to mount the adjustable pedal assembly. We put this subfloor absoutley as low as possible and extended it only as far back as was necessary to mount the pedal assembly. At the aft edge its height varies from about an inch at the tunnel side to zero at the outboard side. Not only does it give you more toe room, but by moving your feet lower it gives you more shin room from the instrument panel. BTW, my wife (5-4) can reach the pedals easily when moved to their aft adjustment. Even if I were never going to change the pedal adjustment, I'd still put in the adjustable option just to have more toe and shin room.
