Pine, I too installed the slide plate for the ground adjustable rudder pedals.
I was not happy with the system nor my initial workmanship. I decided to scrap
it and go with the in-flight adjustable pedals (option from Lancair) because
they come with the equipment you need for a remote brake fluid reservoir which
you will wish you had. The adjustment mechanism is slick and looks good and I
have substantially more range of adjustment than I did with my slide plate. If
you haven't begun your slide plate, you will save substantial time by switching
to the in-flight adjustable installation.
