Hank, Neil, et al.:
I too have used the Ivoprop Magnum and now have 68 trouble-free hours on
these 70-inch blades.  Recently I switched to the high pitch 3-blade model
but have only 10 hours on it strictly in a FIXED pitch condition adjusted
more for climb than cruise.  Even in this position (which has been necessary
because the pitch change motor was returned for replacement) the aircraft
easily and quietly cruises at 210 mph and 2700 on an 0-360 Lyc.  I'm truly
excited about a much faster cruise that will surely occur when I'm able to
adjust the prop pitch with the new electric motor (blades, hub and motor
weigh only 27 lbs.).  I'll report on performance results in another 25 hours
or so.  It appears that there are a number of us who have had rather good
experience on this prop but no one with extensive experience, i.e., hundreds
of hours.

Neil, I hope it was only a typo error regarding the torque value you are
using on the Ivoprop.  My literature says 65 ft/lbs in several references;
not 55 ft/lbs.  Please double check this on your prop.  Greg
