The time to go-around is either before you touch down or right after touch down when you ask yourself "Do I like this?". If the answer is "I don't know", "no", then your automatic response is to go around. Right after touchdown all you have to do is add power. When you're rolling off the far end of the runway, it's too late. If you are not asking that simple question, then you ought to stick to very long runways. If you are so unaware that you don't realized you've landed too long or hot until you're out of runway then you need another hobby or at least a more able co-pilot.
