A "squat switch" is a device that indicates whether the
landing gear is compressed by the airplane's weight.
I've never seen one on a Lancair.

An "airspeed switch" is a device that indicates when
the wind is blowing past the airplane. These are
common on Lancairs.

Sometimes words matter, and using the correct words
will reduce confusion for those who don't know that
"squat switch" in Lancairese really means "airspeed switch".
