Short of supplying air pressure to the pitot or shorting the somewhat
inaccessible squat switch in order to test gear operation whilst on jacks,
one might install an override switch.
Placing a partially inflated balloon over the pitot is a simple way to
override the squat switch for maintenance, and check your pitot system for
leaks. Make sure you don't have the pitot heat on :)
