Daniel" : Wolfgang, I have owned two TruTrak autopilots including the Sorcerer that I now have in my Lancair Super ES. My experience with TruTrak has been very good. I have contact with a group of Lancair and RV pilots who all fly the Chelton EFIS and have issues with the Chelton properly communicating with their autopilots. Many of those have TruTrak autopilots and without exception, they all praise the TruTrak. There are many variables in a successful autopilot operation including installation. Do you have the servos located where TruTrak says they should be? Do you have the newer servos or the old ones that had some loose play in the arm. Do you have any loose motion from the servo to the control surface? Do you have problems when the autopilot is operating alone or is it when it is getting input from another navigation device? Do you have the lateral and vertical variables setup properly in the Sorcerer? My advice is to listen to the guys at TruTrak. Chat Daniel Lancair Super ES N891AC
