I posted the question about the psycho LEDs on the Aeroelectric list and Bob said that the LED cases are sub-par when it comes to shielding.  It's just the leakage from the COM radio getting into the circuitry.  My humble solution is to ignore it, since you're never adjusting the trim buy looking at the LEDs in flight anyway and not while talking on the radio.  I have confirmed that the phenomenon won't hurt the LED indicator either.
