Hello All:
I wanted to update the group on my progress.  Since my first post last
night I received 10 replies that indicated they would attend... the tally
is 2-Heavy Battle Cruisers(1V's), 1-Troop Transport(ES), 4-Fighter
Escorts(320/360), 1-Ty Fighter(235), 2 Drive-by-Shooters (Drive-ins).  I
thought also I should explain how all this got started.  I have attended
several of the EAA major fly-ins this year and was quite frankly
disappointed at the lack of turn out (even at Oshkosh) of Lancair aircraft.
I have never seen more than 15/20 at one place at one time.  I know the
factory has a good turn out, (I've heard 40/50 (does everyone go to see
Don and Lance play Golf?))  I was amazed to see the (I can hardly say the
words gag garf arg gufa)# of Bonanza's that arrived at Oshkosh this
year... was it 125 in formation?  YIKES!  And Mooneys (do they still hand out
flowers at airports?) and RV infestations everywhere.  Well, you all get my
drift.  I don't think we need to compete with the spam cans for formation
flying displays, but it would be really neat to have a good gathering of
the flock and see if we can top 15/20.  Get those computers clicking.  We
will need as many as we can get.
