First, in the lower engine mount bolt holes (remember those 6inch deep wells you fed the firewall attach bolt through?), there was some superficial corrosion--apparently the powder coating process did not reach down there. Scraped out the corrosion, used Naval Jelly and a rust prohibitor to fix. Second, noted a semi-lunar shaped hairline crack around a mounting bold on the aluminum rear spinner bulkhead on my Harzell prop installation. Talked to Vern at Lancair--this has apparently been seen before, and is why they are only supplying Carbon fiber bulkheads now. Am awaiting my new composite bulkhead arrival now.
