My experience on my 235 was that. while the thing gave me much better take-off performance than my fixed pitch prop (something like 62"dia x 76"pitch) I could never keep the tell-tale metal strips from cracking. Even on a ten minute test flight. Ivo himself came to my hangar and checked the torque on the blades and pronounced it perfect - then he went flying with me for about 10 -15 minutes and upon checking the tell-tales on the ground, they were cracked again! He then took that prop back to the shop and knurled the clamping plates, the aluminum plates that are situated just fore and aft of the blade roots. On the next flight, the strips cracked again! Nothing we could do seemed to solve the problem and Ivo bought the prop back with the comment that it wasn't safe on my airplane. again, I'm only running a Lyc O-235-L2C with the hi compression (some call them Helicopter) pistons. ,Can't say that my experience is at all typical - but as I've said before, You pays your money and you takes your chances! I'm now flying behind a MT constant speed two blade prop, and while I've had some squirelly problems (see this forum back some time ago) when working right, it's the answer.
