I'm 6'3.5" and 195 lbs and there's plenty of headroom in a Legacy -- I'd say it would handle someone 6'6". The leg room is not so generous -- though it can be improved beyond the standard kit's plan. To get more leg room and better rudder/brake pedal performance, I've nearly completed development of overhead mounted adjustable rudder pedals that allow you to eliminate the floor boards and improve the leg room significantly. Also, Lancair's overhead mounted (though not adjustable) rudder pedals eliminate the floor boards. One other limitation with that option, though, is that if you're tall you probably also have big feet and those pedals require shoes smaller than about size 10.
Bottom line, you should fit in a Legacy just fine... It's a great airplane and community of builders and pilots, too.
