Hi to all those lucky builders who flew in for the Lancair Labor Day
festivities. I had the best of intentions with hopes of completing the
interior of my ES-P in Las Cruces NM on Friday in time for a Saturday
mid-day arrival in Redmond. It turned out that the interior people have
the same problem as builders: 90% done and 90% to go. The job was
almost complete on Friday and was, after an all-nighter, still almost
complete on Saturday morning. Same situation at noon Saturday until I
threw in the towel and went home to Ohio. In the end they said that
they would not be happy with the results unless they took an additional
2 days. So perhaps this weekend I'll be in Redmond. Any chance for
left over BBQ?
Robert M. Simon,
ES-P N301ES
BTW: the work that has been done is very nice and the price is far below
market. And although they are late, they have only taken 2 weeks to
date so three weeks total will not be all that bad.
