It would appear that Fred and Brent want proof and Darus provides testimonials with a mention of "test results" he'll supply. Some big names like Detroit Diesel, CAT and Ferrari are being thrown around but I'm sure we all know the names of prestigious companies that we can sprinkle throughout any conversation. Even the laws of Physics are under attack to some extent. This is heady stuff.
Just last night, there was a show on satellite TV regarding a well respected doctor of the early 1900's who developed an electrical gadget that was advertised as being able to diagnose any illness from a blood sample. Later this same doctor came up with a new electrical marvel designed to take his other machines diagnosis and actually implement a cure using nothing but electricity. He made a fortune leasing these gadgets with the stipulation that no one was allowed to open the boxes due to calibration concerns.
When Scientific American started a probe into the efficacy of these machines, they received sacks of mail from people outraged at their audacity to even consider doubting the word of the good doctor especially after there were hundreds of testimonials to the machines effectiveness. Eventually the machines were shown to contain nothing but some blinking lights and fancy dials but that was after the doctor was a millionaire and many lost their lives and fortunes chasing a dream cure. What this should prove to anyone is that testimonials are not proof.
In the last 20 years, I believe 77 people have been released from Death Row after being found innocent of the crimes a jury convicted them of. It would appear that juries don't understand the concept of proof and are ready to use the equivalent of testimonials ie hearsay and "eye witness" testimony to send a person to his death.
Now we're talking about engines and coatings, not medical gadgets and the legal system, but the concept of proof and the irrelevance of testimonials should be obvious to anyone. Getting test reports directly from independent third parties is essential. If someone wants meaningless test results, they can get them from someone with a vested interest in what the results state. I fear that some individuals are like Mulder in the X Files and also own a poster that reads "I want to believe!"
If Darus has invented some new processes and a better engine, then lets see PROOF and not another word about testimonials. Even if the military has ordered his engines, consider that they also order $600 toilet seats. Even if someone at Detroit Diesel, that may have risen to his level of incompetence, has ordered product, again that proves nothing. If Darus can supply proof positive, then I'm sure he would be flooded with dozens of engine orders and rebuild requests. It is in his best interests to take the time to convince the hundreds of LML subscribers. Lets see what happens.
