Just sharing;
I bought a heat gun and use it at least once a week for something on the
Lanc project. It is much more controllable than a torch for heating
Plexiglas or those lay-ups that need a little tweaking. Also, it is
impressive how little heat is required to remove epoxy lay-ups. I wish
I had bought one at the beginning of the project. You can add a little
heat (very little) to a cured piece to allow trimming with a razor which
saves time.
Also, my wife bought me a set of Perma Grit tools for my birthday.
These tools are making my workmanship much more acceptable. These tools
would have saved me hundreds of hours if I had them from the start.
Two worthwhile investments.
