You are absolutely correct that prepreg means a fiber-reinforced panel PRE-imPREGnated with partially-cured epoxy. Nonetheless, Lancair and Lancair builders use the word "prepreg" to mean honeycomb sandwich panel. May as well give up now on getting them to say what they mean. Lancair builders are a stubborn lot. When a Lancair builder says to use "prepreg" you might as well ask "what thickness honeycomb?" instead of "what cure cycle?". .
