If I am correct about the parts you are referring
to then yes, I know of a couple of Legacys that are flying with an additional
pair of alignment and striker plates. I've also installed a second set on
mine, but I'm not flying yet. I found a picture where you can see the
additional parts on the right side of the canopy frame. It may be a bit of
overkill, but I don't see a problem with it.
