This was several months ago when I was tracking down IO-550N oil cooling issues. Interestingly, the oil cooler designs that we have available to us on our certified engines are hopelessly outdated. They are required by FAA rules to build the coolers with the original design and performance to receive PMA approval. He said the current technology would allow them to build far superior coolers.
