My empty weight is 1100 lbs.  I never tanker fuel.  I put on enough to get me there with appropriate reserves.  I travel light and weigh 168 lbs.

I don't have a fuel flow gauge.  During my test flights and early days I checked consumption closely and it comes out conservatively at 8.75 gph.  I flight plan for 9 gph and on a long trip it is probably less than 8.75.  My engine is an IO-320 D1D, constant speed prop, and I run it about 50 deg. ROP.  Leaning to peak EGT I start to get engine roughness so I richen it out until it is smooth and 50 deg. ROP works.  I don't use oil to speak of.  I might add a quart at 20 hours plus and I change oil and filter every 30 hours.  I'm primitive.  I have one CHT probe on #3 and EGT probe on #1exhaust.

      Gross weight: 1470 lbs. approximate.
      IAS: 163 kts.
      TAS: 196 kts.
      Fuel burn approx 8.75 gal/hr.

Is the 1470 lbs. a miss print?  My minimized 360 is 1310 lbs. empty.  Greg Nelson
