Seems all four of the blades were found to have cracks at the hub where the lag bolt enter the wood and they are no longer serviceable. I had called American in the past and asked about some wrinkling of the paint at the hub and was advised that it was normal due to shrinking wood core material. I will be contacting MT to see what they will do with the prop, expect not much, as it is seven years old, about six years of use as the plane was down with panel changes and painting over the seven year period. This means new prop. Seems like MT is not the prop for these applications. I'm going to investigate the alternatives and unless MT makes good on it I won't be using their equipment in the future and will advise here on the outcome. American said that they have seen this in the past but couldn't recall one on the IVP application. Todd at American is sending me a written description of their inspection results before I call MT. Has anyone else had an issue like this with their MT propeller? Pat Brunner N98PB
