Which is probably why you didn't get a definitive answer!  Seriously, the
vast differences between engines (even of the same model) makes answering
this question guesswork or opinion -- you'll never know the answer without
some very expensive (time + dollars) testing on your own engine.  Although
it IS good for an academic discussion!
