One reminds me of the argument betwixt bomber
and fighter pilots... If you want to snore along and watch the countryside go
by, I don't judge. I understand. The fierce, barking, snorting, drooling, beer
and tequila swilling whippets shall play - 8 at a time in close adversarial
formation - around the sticks and altitudes mere bugs and jumping rabbits can
easily attain!
Displacement, $40,000. Efficiency, $8,000. A
Bitchin course line, priceless...
Scotty G,
In other words, you are going to avoid the cup challenge. That's OK,
fear is a strong de-motivator. Others will carry the Lancair banner
forward, avoiding boredom by reading the Burma-Shave signs as they go
and using everyman's airplane to actually travel to a destination in
some haste rather just circle to land.
Speed mods $150, Screwdriver $1.95 or $5.00 (Lowe's or Jock's Bar,
depending), wheels down before landing - priceless.

I smell a great deal of mendacity here about.
PS, I am changing my race ID from 94 to 4 to reduce the drag
numbers.
