I don't necessarily disagree with your claim that these won't provide enough
illumination.  I just wanted something fast, cheap and easy (kinda like my
bachelor days, I suppose) and these fit the bill.  I might very well retrofit
something else later, but not until after I'm flying.  I'll be very cautious
the first time out, though.
