The Collins systems IFIS and FMS = system on the CJ3 automatically put the transponder(s) into standby mode = on the ground as well. It only squawks the mode S portion of the reply, = which is just serial number of the airplane. There is physically no way = to do anything about it not even at an ASDE equipped airport. Fun = airplane, but I'm still looking forward to the day I can get a Lancair.
