Bryan... Couple of notes. The 1201 is TSO-145a compliant according to the
freeflight systems webpage (read the press release for it). I don't think
it will every be approach certified and here's why. It actually takes
compliance for 2 different TSO's one for the "module" and one for the
"system". TSO-146a covers the system as I understand it. So, I think we
are ok with the 1201 (1101 in experimentals). It meets the 145a TSO for
WAAS and it with the Chelton should suffice the 146a requirement for the
system.
Just my reading, but I know the Epic guys are flying this combination and
just love it!
