All Continental engines are
overhauled to the original manufacturers specification :
1.
Crankcase is zygloed for any defects, surfaced and line bored. 2.
Crankshaft is magnufluxed for any defects, for TCM only the crankshaft in
inspected per TCM
service bulletin MSB96-10 and FAA ad note97-26-17. 3. All steel
parts are magnufluxed, i.e. conn rods, rocker arms, thru bolts and all
internal steel gears. 4. Camshaft is either
reground or new. 5. The following TCM service bulletins are adhered
to SB00-3 Crankshaft, counterweight, conn rod,
conn rod nuts and bolts application, SB97-6 Mandatory 100% replacement
parts, SB96-
7b Engine torque limits. 6. All conn rods and rocker arms
are rebushed and diamond bored to size, weight & balanced
and checked for alignment.
The
following new parts are used to assemble the engine to new limits
:
1. Main and con rod bearing. 2. Crankshaft and camshaft gear
attach bolts. 3. Con rod bolts and nuts “new style spiralock” 4. Gasket
set and nose seal. 5. Intake and exhaust lifters. 6.
Camshaft is reground or new. 7. TCM or ECI new steel cylinder
kits. 8. Piston pins and rocker shafts. 9. Counterweight
bushing, rollers, plates and snap rings.
The following engine
accessories will be installed new :
1. TCM factory new fuel
injection system. 2. Starter - 12 volt. 3. Slick
magnetos,pressurized, harness and spark plug
kits.
