My fuel selector valve is mounted as low as possible centered forward of the
main spar. It is a four way (header-R-OFF-L) valve. Not as nice as the
Andair. I built an extension (3/8" .065wall 6064T6) and the handle/valve
stem is roll pinned in place. The handle is mounted on a slanting sub-panel
that extends up to the lower portion of the instrument panel from the
forward end of the console.
All effort should be made not to run fuel lines down then up then down. My
lines (3/8" Al) run from wing tank down rear spar to elbow on console side,
level to hole under center of main spar and up to valve port on each side.
Header ys to forward port on valve. Outlet is on bottom of my valve runs to
cross fitting mounted vertical. Bottom of cross extends through belly and
has a flush quick drain. top of cross has bushing and adapter for 1/8"
tubing to manual primer. The bushing is necessary to give enough length for
quick drain. Don't use manual primer use electric inside engine compt. Line
runs from cross to electric pump mounted inverted (keeps line lower) under
floor board (inspection plate)through firewall to gascolator (mount so
bottom is just above bottom of firewall for gear up landing).
skip@olympus.net is working on an extension for Andair 4 way valve.
