From Dan Schaefer's description below, I think my jack system is very
similar to his. The pieces of the upper wood beam are all fastened
together, with holes for the jack heads. I have permanent marks on the
bottom of the airplane which show where to place the beam so it is directly
under the wing spar. The wedge-shaped pieces under the green rubber pads
fit the wing dihedral and provide clearance so the center of the belly does
not touch the wood beam.
The wood pieces under the jacks are also fastened together, so you can drag
the whole assembly into position. It is heavy. The outer jack stands
provide a wider "wheelbase" and also support in case of a jack failure.
In this picture, the gear is up. I use a tub of concrete to hold the
tail down, just as Dan described.
