Almost 10 years later, I wear reading glasses, and have no problems. I do, however, know of several people who have not been so lucky and are worse than they were before due to complications, mainly infections. Would I, in my 40’s, risk my vision? No. My reason for the surgery was to get rid of the daily migraines due to the differences in my eyes (one was farsighted, the other near, but more than 6 ½ diopters apart). The doctor wondered how I had functioned for so many years with that issue. He was good and I was lucky. N998PB wife, Susan
