Ladd Gardner of Falcon Insurance brought in my IVP this year at $4515
per year for $300,000  hull, $100 deductible and $1,000,000
liability/$100,000 per passenger. Recurrent training is required every 6
months. I had to produce an inspection certificate from the factory. AIG
is the underwriter.

My previous insurance was 8,071 with 30k deductible for the same
coverage. =20

I want to conjecture here.  I believe that this reduced rate came
because of a variety of factors:
Lancair and Joe Bartels went to work on the problem and were very
helpful.
High Performance Aircraft Training, Inc. through Pete Zaccagnino
provided a training program that is accepted by AIG.
I have 1400 hours total of which 900 are in the Lancair with a
commercial, instrument and multiengine ratings.  I fly the Lancair 200
hours per year.  I have taken the HPAT training.  And I was flying
annually with a Lancair factory approved pilot. =20
