FWIW.
Over the last two months I have been testing a BatteryMinder = ;(www.vdcelectronics.com)  on an old Concorde = RG25XC.  I was curious if all the claims made in their literature = about being able to revive old batteries and reverse the effects of = sulphation etc. were at all true.  The results have been quite = impressive.  I removed this particular battery from my plane = ;two years ago after it failed the annual capacity check (<80% = capacity).  It sat around in the hangar untouched since = then.  Before starting the test, I charged it and performed a = capacity check.  It had deteriorated to 50% capacity.  Since = then I have had it connected to a BatteryMinder.  Every few = weeks I performed another capacity check.  It was up to 83% this = last weekend.
As soon as I saw the trend, I put my plane on another BatteryMind= er.  During my last annual, the capacity of the battery in the = plane tested greater than during the previous year's annual.  = Needless to say, I now keep my plane connected to a BatteryMinder= while not in use.
