Door seal pump issue I want to throw out to
everyone.
My pressurization is not completely sealed up yet,
but sometimes I need to "pressurize" to get cabin heat etc.
I will fly around unpressurized at 12,000, door
seal pump on at engine start. During the course of the flight, the door
seal pump light will rarely, if ever come on.
Here is what happens when I "pressurize"
-
after a few minutes at altitude, the door seal pump
light comes on and stays on. I pull the breaker, light of course goes out
indicating pump off now. I do not loose the door seal because there
is no increase in noise at whatsoever and I can hear the door seal deflate
after I land. I am assuming that the seal
is staying inflated during flight because of the one way valve that is
installed.
Any ideas why the "little bit" of pressurization I
am maintaining would cause the door deal pump to want to come on and stay
on?
I checked with my avionics shop, Aerotronics out of
Billings MT, (best group in the world by the way) and the light that
indicates the pump is on is wired such that it will only illuminate
when the pump is in fact on.
Again, this NEVER happens when the pressurization
is not engaged.
Any thought are greatly appreciated.
