Hi Ron,
On this particular trip to Mexico we landed on paved strips. However, on the March trip to Baja,
we did land on 2 dirt strips and there was no problem in our 320. Use softfield landing and takeoff
techniques, though, as you would on grass. We often take our plane in and out of grass strips here in
the U.S. The nose gear is pretty sturdy and can handle it. It even handled a coral runway in the
outer Bahamas.
I have to say that the worst strip we've operated out of is paved. It's Minuteman near Boston and
has the worst, roughest and uneven surface ever (never again!).

Did you guys land on dirt strips? I know they are quite ubiquitous in Mexico
and in one of your photo's, it's looks as if you did.
If that's true, could you comment on how your landing gear handled these
strips? Any problems worth mentioning?
Ron
