However, on the March trip to Baja, we did land on 2 dirt strips and there was no problem in our 320. Use softfield landing and takeoff techniques, though, as you would on grass. We often take our plane in and out of grass strips here in the U.S. The nose gear is pretty sturdy and can handle it. It even handled a coral runway in the outer Bahamas. I have to say that the worst strip we've operated out of is paved. It's Minuteman near Boston and has the worst, roughest and uneven surface ever (never again!).
