"Smoother at what RPM" in the question. A metal prop makes a better
flywheel, hence smoother idle. A wood-core prop absorbs more vibration,
therefore smoother at high power settings.
My 2c: I've flown MT props on aerobatic planes (translation: harsh
environment) for about 7 years now with excellent results. Good bang for
the buck, good reliability, and light weight. And they'll work with you to
pick the right hub / blade combo. If you can afford more than a standard
metal Hartzell prop, then MT is a good choice IMHO.

NachrichtChristian,
How did you come to the conclusion that Hartzell props make an engine run
smoother?
