  NachrichtI had the old style three blade MT prop. Now installed is the three
blade Scimiter MT prop.  4 inches more in diameter which provides 400fpm more
performance and about 4 knots. I was told the older style eliptical prop was
about 4 mph slower than two blade prop but more performance. Sooooo from that
anecdote the scimiter should be as fast as the hartzell with more performance.
Shop and compare.
  
  Oh yes, the eliptical mt prop is 20 lbs lighter than the hartzell. The
scimiter is about the same.  Check it out.
