NASA 757 HUD displays BAE Systems enhanced vision-millimeter-wave radar returns fused with shortwave infrared imagery-on approach to Runway 04 at Wallops Flight Facility. Green scintillation is radar reflections; object on threshold is a parked van to show MMW sensor capability.

My impression having done a few "impossible" approaches, centerline and RAIL lighting are far more important than anything in the plane. Have you flown one of those "autolands"? what's it like?
