I am sure Lancair is looking for a substitute vendor. Often these parts are
built in limited quantities and sometimes vendors go out of business and/ or
decide to get out of the market. Happens all the time. Happened at McDonnell
Douglas and Boeing when I worked there and they had lots of people working on
vendor issues. As to Lancair doing a "proper job" I am positive you could
do much better. ;)
